i used the cork gasket but when full it leaked so i used

peto patch as sealant worked fine .cost £3.40

Ian - that's naughty (but a good idea. Save but for the fact that now I've fitted the boot I can't get at the wires.... )Guess I'll have to fill it right up in the next few days to see if mine's OK. I designed & constructed a "Forth Bridge" approach to the sender unit, and will be very surprised if it leaks. We'll see...
