Rotor Arm On A 2.0efi Pinto Dizzy (bosch)

Decided to do a bit of distributor reconditioning, but fell at the first hurdle

when I couldn't remove the rotor arm  I've tried pulling, twisting

and levering the arm, but the bu**er won't come off! (Confession: I snapped

the plastic on the non-contact side doing so). Could anyone tell me what

I'm doing wrong?!

Cheers,

Pete

Nigel's right just break it off its already knackered so breaking the rest is no loss. Its probably not been off for years even through it is supposed to have 2 or 3 drops of oil put on the pad under it on every service to lube the tube to shaft so bob weights work correctly. (How many of you do?)
