THE GREAT NORTHERN KIT AND CAR BUILDER SHOW 2005

On the 13-14th August 2005 European Promotions are again bringing the kit car industry to the North. The superb Yorkshire Event Centre at THE COUNTY SHOWGROUND Harrogate is the venue for this great car enthusiast's show. Hand built cars have become a showcase for British innovation.

 

Harrogate will again give the Kit Car enthusiast the opportunity to see these cars under one roof. Recent legislation has brought the kit makers right up to date, with beautiful exciting and well built sports cars that can fill everyone's dreams.

 

Cookie, the promoter of this event has put on over 30 Kit Car shows, around the country one of the biggest and best in the country is the well known Great Western held at Exeter, Devon which has become the showcase of the industry. Harrogate has become the star of the North.

 

What will be on display at the show?

 

Around 30 of the top hand built car manufacturers will be putting on a show that will be hard to beat. Companies like:

Kit Car clubs will be represented inside the show hall by the Cobra Replica club, Westfield owners club and the Sylva Register. 50 plus accessory stands will sell everything kit car, from polish to your favourite tools, special lighting to tyres and wheels.

 

The Yorkshire Event Centre is the ideal venue for club meets - over 2 acres will be dedicated to club and individual displays of Kit Cars. There will be over 500 cars on display outside. Every driver of a Kit Car will be given free admittance to the show. This year a Monster truck will be on display and will be providing the entertainment both days by demonstrating the art of car crushing. This show will also feature the MNR Vortex being built during the show. The company will demonstrate how easy it is to build there cars. This local Harrogate based company have taken the Kit Car market by storm, quickly gaining a good reputation for building first class cars.

Fine friday....thundery showers Sat and the odd bit of sun for Sunday.

 

Can't get the gazeebo in the kit but might make room for a big brolly!

and extra beer to soak up the wet!

I am debating on coming down to Harrogate for the whole weekend, but alas my plans of having to 2B built by the show have just not came through. (Believe I am about 4 weeks away - so will probably be complete next year).

 

Can anyone tell me the details fo camping there for the weekend?

If you are in a tintop you have to park in the main parking area but club members are allowed to camp on the site....not quite sure where until we get there. Tin tops are not being allowed on club stands!

You pay once for entry (£ and they give you a wrist band for the weekend entry.

you could always try Steve Knaggs trick and claim it is a replica kit car....

 

he managed to sneek in with his wifes MX5 last year and the guys on the gate believed him:rolleyes:

The Weather according to the Met Office Ok its Rochdale but its fairly close to Harrogate!

I will be turning up on Friday night with my new Beer Tent (Argos Gazebo) so we will have somewhere to shelter from the rain at least.
