Brake Pipe Bracket

Hi Guys,

 

Does anyone know where to buy brake pipe brackets (the bracket that the flexi pipe connect to where it mates with the metal brake pipe) from ? I have a look at a few suppliers and no joy.

Hi i used a piece of alluminium angle drilled a hole in it

then filed it bigger to get the flat bit on it

Dave’s answer is I believe the only answer and anyway as a Hoody it should be one of the easiest bits of the car to make and fit.

it sounds like a big job but i cut off the 1,s off a my donor and welded to my car worked great

i had a couple of 90 % steel small shelf brackets ( B&Q) just drilled out then screwed and welded in place - easy job.

I found some kind of bracket from the doner chopped it in half, drilled a large hole in each end and then filed half the circle out as Dave suggested. I wouldn't call them a perfect match for the ford item (my filing wasn't that great) but once they had the retaining clips fitted the work pretty well.

For anyone reading this in the future ford will sell you the retaining clips the cheapest parts I've bought so far at 38p.
