  1. Thanks chaps. The only wire going to it is the feed with a small resistor. I'll try the tape then if the gauge doesn't work I can Earth the sensor . Can't wait to get it on the road ! New to this game and it looks fun:) I was on a role last night even managed to pay my membership online!!!! Thanks again Andy
  2. I removed it today I think it's a tapered thread. Engine runs nicely after rebuild . Just problems with clutch now! Fitted new clutch and 2wd long cable but can't get a clutch. Read all the posts will try and remove slack from outer cable. Rs2000 sump as well to standard type 9 bell housing so cable is not truly aligned. Also flex at pedal box so that will be reinforced tomoz. Clutch fork moves freely and release bearing slides nicely up to pressure plate so I'm hoping it's just too much slack in the system. Thanks again guys for your efforts. Rgds Andy
  3. Ok thanks. So I need a new one if this continues to weep? Looks like somebody in the past has used a sealer because I had to clear the threads out before I could screw it back in following rebuild. Do ford still sell these? Cheers Andy
  4. Do those senders have some kind of thread lock sealer around the threads or a rubber washer as mine has a small weep which in turn is making me weep! Cheers Andy

  7. Hi, Cam timing is spot on just needs ignition timing setting up. I have fitted an accuspark ignition module and set dizzy by ear. It ticks over nicely for now but needs the strobe on it. Haven't got a clue about modified advance curve??? I've hear people say 14 degrees at idle and 36 at 3600 rpm????
  8. Thanks all. The drill and dizzy method worked just fine. Started and idles quite nicely. Anybody know the timing settings for an fr32 cam? Need to strobe it tomorrow . Thanks Again. Andy
  9. Yes I've seen that as well but no garden sprayer so drill it is! Cheers
  10. Hi, I wast thinking of taking dizzy out and driving oil pump with a drill to circulate the oil. Cheers

  18. Thanks Nigel . May just place a hose from the top of the catch tank where the filter goes and run it under the car. But do you know if the bonnet will still close on a 2b if I buy one of those filler caps with the breather attachment in the side? Cheers
  19. Hi guys, I'm looking to fit a catch tank. I need to replace the oil filler cap with one that has the breather on the side of the cap. Can anyone tell me if the bonnet will still close ok on a 2b if I get one of those? Thanks in advance Andy
