Injection running Megasquirt ECU
-
Oh indeed, thanks guys.
Would I change the fuel/air ratio?
-
Sorry, pre IVA running standard injectors. Its a 1999 engine
-
Bugger, thought the max was 4.5. stupid question but whats the best was to lower them...change the fuel/air mixer?
-
I tested the emissions weekend and they are about 1.5-1.4 so well pleased with that. Just hope they read the same at the test centre.

Yea...you will need injection and a cat because of the year of the engine. That was my plan but it was soon shelved. Its a bugger because carbs would be cheaper...a lot cheaper

MMMMM...I think its off to the garage and a ten pound note to get it checked properly.

I know I have asked before but no harm in trying again. Has anyone got an emissions tester I could borrow so I can see where they are before my IVA.
Thanks all

Cheers guys...really appreciate it. Just found a kink in one of my fuel lines on a bend. Always 2 forward and 1 back

Soory guys, another question.
I have tir wrapped my water pipes tp the chassis, is this ok for IVA. When I built this part of the car GBS didn't have there own plumbing so made my own.

I have read on some forums that its 6000 peak power
-
Thanks Nick...It is 6000rpm

Afternoon
Just filling out my IVA forms and wondered what to put as peak rpm. I know that sounds daft but I have heard of people changing there ecu max rpm so the percentage is low for the DB test at the IVA.

It looks really nice...not just as quick round the corners though..lol

Morning Nick
Yeah was thinking that...did you sell your car?
-
Cheers for that...I'll take them with me. Did you show pics of all four or just one bolt head?
-
Just took some pics of the seatbelt mount bolts as I understand the inspector needs to see them. Stupid question but do VOSA tell him they have seen the pics along with all the other build pics or do I need to take them along to the IVA?

I had the same problem but got it sorted by using a vacum bleeder running of my compressor.

Hiya Dean
I to have a Koso dash and having probs with the sensor. I am using the sensor on the prop. I have glued a small piece of metal onto the prop and mounted the sensor to a bracket. I have put that I have got 1 sensor point and the diameter of the tyre but dont seem to be getting the correct speed.

I used a Gunsons emissions tester. The car has been on a rolling road and set up so I dont want to mess about with that map. Can I "copy & paste" that map and re do the fueling to get past the iva?
