  1. I'm afraid this event will not be going ahead because of the Covid19 restrictions.

The railway is opening at the end of July with a very restricted timetable and restricted movements around the stations.

I have spoken to the Events team and they are hoping to have some form of events later in the year.

I hope we can put this on next year I will keep you informed.

    18/06/2020 COVID-19 UPDATE:
    NEWARK KIT CAR SHOW 2020

It is with regret that we have decided to cancel the Newark Kit Car Show in July this year. For those of you who have purchased tickets for this show, your ticket will be valid for the 2021 show (dates to be confirmed). To avoid possible ticket price increases next year, and to save us the cost of postage and reprinting tickets, we ask that you keep your ticket and use it for the 2021 show. By retaining your ticket for use in 2021 you will be helping us to continue hosting shows in 2021 following what has been a difficult time for many businesses due to Covid-19. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and look forward to welcoming you back to the Newark Kit Car Show next year.

As our office is still closed, we are unable to contact ticket holders individually as we do not have access to the database. If you have any queries, our preferred method of contact is email (grosvenorshows@btconnect.com).

We are currently still planning to hold the Stoneleigh Kit Car Show in August (29 – 30 August 2020). We will continue to follow updates from the government regarding the Coronavirus and will update you on our website and Facebook page @Grosvenor where necessary.

    Kind regards,

    Roger Cooling

  3. I had a similar problem with my EFI system. It was an earth on the EFI loom.

I had looked at everything but it wasn't until I removed the EFI loom, it is separate to the main car loom, I found one of the earth connectors had rotted off inside the insulation so it looked fine but there was no connection. When given a firm tug it fell apart.

I cannot remember which earth it was but perhaps checking all of them would be a good first step.

Found this if it helps finding the earth.

  4. Following closely after the bolting horse, I found this in my archives.

When I had a pinto on EFI I found it invaluable, It may be of use in the future.

Another tip I found very useful was to have a spare dizzy, attach it to an electric drill to spin it up. Any faults could be checked without having to turn the engine over

  5. Looks like we have another victim of CV19......... From an Email I received today.

As you are aware there have been several Government announcements concerning the restriction of public movement and mass gatherings to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Due to this we have made the unfortunate decision to postpone the Classic Car Show in Market Harborough, due to take place on 5 July 2020.

We understand this is disappointing, however, plans are underway to hold the event in 2021.

  6. I run a C20XE mated to a type 9 box,but after a major issue with the box it was rebuilt with modified internals and case. The 1st gear is now much longer so you don't have to change up as soon as the wheels are going round. I am very pleased with it. If you are interested I will look up the suppliers of the bits. Kerry did the mods to the casing so I don't know how much and from where he took the Metal.
