just spent the day stripping the engine out of my vivaro after it chewed the cambelt wot a job treid to get the head off without taking engine out but there was was just one nut on th exaust manifold that couldn't get to so engine out strip the head tomorrow see wot the damage is not so bad it was due a new clutch anyway

would rather be prepairing the hood for the zetec conversion

The zetec bug must be contagious ! Wish I.d done it to my hood instead of wasting money tuning the pinto.

took the head off today had to hammer the valves out not good source some new valves tomorrow

I had to hammer mine out of the dci head, new guides and new buckets, don't forget to check the cam pulley for damage

yeah need a new crank cam pulley it sheard the built in woodruff key

the guides are ok the one valve that weren't bent used that to check them all

2nd hand head an option.i did when my merc snapped a cam.

ill just rebuild wot ive got cant see any other damage apart from bent valves

hey mark is best to get new head bolts aswell

yes mate, might be wise to change the crank pulley as well, mine was well knackered

rebuilt engine today start fitting it back in van tomorrow got all the bits from euro car parts eventually good discount but when you start ordering lots of engine parts they start to get a bit confused as I have learned if they have to order something make sure that they have orderd what you have asked for, kids pushing buttons on comps disaster in the making
