herbie rides again took the van for a shake down drive today hydrolic clutch a pain in the rectum engine a bit tappedy did not replace buckets but all in all ok can get back to work now and earn the money for my far more important zetec conversion on the 2b

By the end of the month I should have a spare 1.9dci F9Q head laying around I will keep it to one side incase those buckets get worse

hydrolic clutch had to convert my cental heating dosing bottle to clutch pressuriseing bottle did the job clutch works had to back fill ! plumbers term ! till fluid overflowed resovoir

also worked out a way of takeing head off without remouving engine so any future head problems wont be so time consumeing

thanks for the offer mark will see how it goes buckets as you call them I call them hydraulic tappets from my days at rover then you had to reshim buckets are just as anoying

the clutch is a bit of a bugger to bleed on dci's

back to engine rebuild luckily still got pertractor that came with kent cam used that to retorque head bolts on herbie had to go to 25nwt then 213 deg bit of a game when engine on floor had wrestle the engine whilest beeing torqued up

after a test drive clutch stopped working got that sorted oring failed at gearbox also bad oil leak coming from back of engine and that's wright yet another oring this time on the oil feed pipe for the turbo got that sorted whent on another test drive and !@~@!& no faults no leaks yipeee
