Can someone answer me what is probably seen as a really stupid question.....

If you fit DCOE/DHLA carbs on a pinto for example, what do you do with the pipe that normally goes from the brake servo to the inlet manifold..???

Some manifolds come a vacumn take off already drilled. On the others there is usually a place where you can drill and tap your own hole to take the vacumn pipe.

There was a tapping for servo take-off from number three intake and a feed for the heater pipe from the cylinder head water jacket on the manifold I bought. You must have this for water circulation before the thermostat opens. The manifold should have provision for both.

I've got a feed for the water in the manifold and there is a bolt in the top of number four inlet but when I take the bolt out it just goes into the casting...???

No. The vacumn is created by pulling air/fuel mix into the cylinderand pulls the air from the servo in the same direction thus creating a vacumn in the servo.
