Mountney Wheel Cover

due for my retest next tuesday. Have had a cover on order from Mountney for last three weeks told yesterday that none in stock and no more available for circa three months.

 

Does anyone have a cover i can borrow for a short while. When car went through first time inpector satated he would fail the wheel without a cover and would not accept silicone in the cross heads as this was not permanant.

I leant my cover to DGAV and he was going to pass it onto anyone who needed it.

 

Perhaps you could contact Duncan and find out its whereabouts.

Does a Mountney wheel need a crashpad, or will it pass with cap head domed bolts??

We passed with domed head set screws but we had to fill the socket in them with silicon. Some examiners don't think silicon is permenant and therefore don't like this approach.

Our car passed SVA as it was.

 

 

No change of any kind,

 

 

SVA is a law unto itself but as we all find out eventually, the experience is not as bad as we feared it might be.

 

Honest! ,would anybody disagree who have just passed!,
