Inertia Switch

Would be good to fit one if you have an electric fuel pump, injection or not. Avoids the scenario of being trapped in the car after a crash and listening to the buzz of the pump adding fuel to the potential flames. Wire it in the pump feed circuit somewhere you can easily reach it and reset it.

Well it can't be any simpler, you have a +ive feed wire going to the electric fuel pump, when the ignition is turned on, just put the switch in series on this wire. Ie, from ignition source, to switch, then out of switch to pump.

Hi, Big Jim is right, and they are pretty useful if the accident does happen, just remember to put it somewhere easily accessible! Only the other week a mini came under the bridge near us and cut out, and the inertia switch was awful to get at, and it was the problem. Good luck!
