Overseas Buyers

Hi

I have a strange situation and was wondering if anyone has had any experience of this. I'm in the process of selling my MGF and I have a "buyer" from Norway. He states that he is owed some money from a client over here and that he is arranging for an agent for his shipping firm to send me a draft (which is more than the car!) and has asked me to deduct the funds.

 

It just seems too good to be true.

 

Anyone else had this ?

Common scam. Don't touch it with a bargepole. If by any chance he was genuine, and I bet my life he's not, get him to send the cash.

it works like this he then asks you to forward the balance on which you do...

Then you find out later once the draft has gone through the banking system that it is a forgery and the bank take the money back...

you end up out of pocket.

so run a mile from it is a scam and has been doing the rounds for a while now
