Cool. Thanks guys. Not so worried about it now!

When the engine is cold, it sits at about 75psi (think that's right anyway). It's only when the engine is warm and I change gear (ie. put the clutch down) that the pressure drops to about 30. Am I just being paranoid? Don't know what oil was in before as I've only changed the oil once since owning the car.

I've got an S7 with a 1983 2l pinto engine and I've trying to figure out which is the best oil grade to use? I've tried replacing my current oil with 20w-50 and my oil pressure drops alarmingly when the engine is warm. Anyone got any ideas what I should be using? TIA Theo

I completely agree with the A500 at Stoke. However, the A34 between Stone & Stoke is nightmare. Going to and from work, I pass 10 Speed Cameras and always at least 1 Safety Camera van!

Hi I have a strange situation and was wondering if anyone has had any experience of this. I'm in the process of selling my MGF and I have a "buyer" from Norway. He states that he is owed some money from a client over here and that he is arranging for an agent for his shipping firm to send me a draft (which is more than the car!) and has asked me to deduct the funds. I bought my S7 last year and was told that it had a Cherry Bomb on it. I have to say, it's bloody noisy! Great for attracting attention, but I have a habit of setting off car alarms! Also, it's really annoying on long runs. My missus keeps asking me not to rev the car on the driveway so as not to annoy the neighbours!! I'm looking at putting a quieter silencer on as it's just too much! My advice, listen to everyone else, don't bother with it :-)

I should be able to go .... the missus even said she'd come along!

I've got a 2.0l with a lightened flywheel and twin 45's ... supposed to do about 5.4ish .... certainly seems to be when I've tried to calculate it myself, so I'd say yours is about right.

I doubt he's forked out a lot for the elise. I had one when I was 22 which was the price of a brand new MX5! And besides ... the colour is hideous!

I've got a Road Angel 2 as well. Expensive, but well worth it. A query for you other guys, should the RA2 give voice warnings of what speed you should be doing ... or if you are over the speed limit? Mine just beeps at me and I then hear Tiff Needell saying "Warning, fixed safety camera" and constantly beeps. I had read on several forums that it should give audible voice warnings as well as this initial warning...... your thoughts? T

Hi Sam, I;ve spotted a major difference between an S7 and a 2b. Space! I've got an S7 and it's very cosy ... not really suited afor anyone over 6ft tall. My brother-in-law has a 2b, and there's stacks of space in there. If you're "slim" and under 6ft, an S7 is definitely an option. T

Hi I had major problems with the underwriter that Roadsure use (KGMotor) when I had to make a claim for my old kit car. Roadsure also re-quoted for my RH last week as the insurance was about to run out and wanted to charge £330!!! I politely told them where to go, and am now insured with Greenlight for about £160 .... far better! T

I have to say, that pic is terrible! I'll bring my camera to the next meeting and get a decent pic. As for the next meeting, Dunc mentioned about possibly having it on a Sunday afternoon rather than a Tuesday night. Any thoughts? I won;t be able to make the trip out folks, still having back dificulties and can;t drive for long. Question is ..... am I going to be the last one to post? Theo
