Xe Up And Running

Hi Guys,

after more than a year the XE is finished.

I had it set up on a rolling road this morning & MOT'd afterwards.

 

Wrong ignition timing & wrong air correction jets, but both quickly fixed.

It now puts out 174bhp, 141 at the wheels & runs like a swiss watch.

Certainoly feels very powerful on the "shortish" run home from the testing station.

Now just need to crack a few miles on it this week & next then set off for Lemans on Friday 8th via the Normandy beaches with a friend in a JBA Falcon.

 

Thanks for all the XE advice its been invaluable.

well done Bob, i gave up on mine before i started, Me, Jim and a few others are going Normandy, but are coming back on the 9th, maye we can meet up on the Friday?

The "Toy" aeroplane show was cancelled after I made the bookings.

The airfield is being updated, so the show is back on next year.

 

We decided not to tell the other halves that we could come back earlier, but to go somewhere else!

 

Mitch, our ferry out is not until 10:40 on the Friday, so we wont be at Caen until quite late...

I'll PM my mobile no so we can call when we get there.
