I was looking at that the other night, I dont think it is a genuine Caterham (not at that price). looks more like a locost registered as a Caterham (A RINGER).

why would he list it as a Locost. I may be wrong ? If it were a genuine Caterham I would expect it to be over 6K

It is definately not a caterham, there was a Robin Hood Go on ebay recently, must have been about the only one, when I asked what it was registered as, it is a Dutton!

Caterham are always pretty keen to stop people using their name. It would be interesting to see what they would make of this,

That was a popular dodge to avoid SVA.

Duttons were dirt cheap, buy one, scrap it, transfer the VIN & registration to the new 7 type

he does call it a locost 7 and then 4 lines later is the ' registered as a caterham' which it obviously isn't, the suspension looks to be to heavy most likely the spitfire parts, the roll over bar bracing is at the sides and look at the position of the engine its almost over the front wheels would suspect that the rear is also spitfire and the engine is in that position to avoid modification of the propshaft.

Yes the other odd thing he said was that a previous owner had used the 'Go' plates on another kit car 'To avoid the stress of going through an SVA!'
