Hi all

I have been fortunate enough to get hold of a pair of Twin DLHA Dellorto carbs for my pinto hood. They are going to require a bit of a rebuild but i only paid 30 squid for them. My question is how do you get a vacuum for the servo? Where does it come from ? Should i ditch the servo ?

You help would be appreciated.

Hi Julian,

the manifold will have either a tapped hole, or a boss you can get drilled & tapped.

Or you can drive without the servo connected. Pedal pressuer will go up

for a given stopping force, but the pedal feel is far firmer.

Try disconnecting your present system to try it out, make sure you block off

the manifold hole properly.

Try Eurocarb at http://www.racecar.co.uk/dellorto/ for all the bits you might need for reconditioning including linkage bits. Be very carefull stripping them as some of the external bits especialy the rod that operates the accelerator pump are fragile. Use two spanners to free the lock nuts. (I learned the hard way)
