Supplyed with our kit were two cresent shaped pieces of steel, but as you expect they were the wrong shape, so I made some out of ply and covered them with thin high denisity foam and good old leather cloth.

Has got wet through many times and just wipes clean.

Not got a decent photo at moment but will try and find one.

I went to my local bike shop and bought a pair of plastic racer mud guards for about £5, covered them with thin foam and vinyl them fitted them.

I used vacuum hose from an old Hoover. cut to length then an inch wide strip out, spray glue, cover with vinyl, aircraft grade silicone adhesive on the back, then taped in place to cure.

looks good, covers all the rivet heads, and was cheap.
