Newbie Says Hello

ZeroKnowledge

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Well I have finally done it, after going to a kit car show about 20 years ago (and Stoneleigh recently) and seeing the `7` type cars, I have saved my pennies in the jar

and purchased a part built Zero. :yahoo:

I only have a general knowledge of mechanics (car maintanance etc) so I have always wondered if I have the skills to comlpete a kit car, but after a few months of reading

this site, I realized there is a wealth of knowledge and that people were happy to share it.

I am looking forward to spending many hours in the garage being fed and watered by a very understanding other half.

there is always some one to help you on this site , you only have to ask, also there could be some one near you to pop round to give you a hand if you get stuck

Hi and welcome.

I too picked up my kit last week and now have a pile of bits sitting in the garage!

I have spent the last couple of days sorting out the "what I need first" pile and the "what I can tuck outta the way until later" pile.

I now have what I think I need to get started, plus a handful of bracketty things which I am not sure what they are!!!

I think they are to locate the Shockers onto the chassis, but I am too embarrassed to ask at this early stage  and I can't find any details of where to locate them onto the chassis etc,.

I think there might also be a couple things missing from the kit, which I will have to ask GBS about.

Apologies, I didn't mean to hijack your thread, but welcome to the madhouse once again
