hi all, took the zero to torque tune next to gbs today.was crapping myself incase anything went pear shaped.ive got a 2.0l pinto, polished and ported by me,piper 280 cam & vernier pulley, blade carbs & pipercross filter, bestek electronic ignition & sports coil, lightened and balanced flywheel.

first run showed 98 bhp at the wheels, tweek of the dizzy on second run got 100.another tweek on third run showed no improvement so put it back.moved vernier on 4th run got 105.then showed it was a bit lean so he drilled the jets out to 1.65mm,they were already done by gbs to 1.60mm.5th run got it to 110.

another tweek to the vernier got it to 115hp on the last run.took it for a run and straight away the responce was noticabley quicker and sounds crisper.

cost was £125 and i was there about 3 hrs.well worth the visit .he said to add on 20 percent to get flywheel figure and you get about 138hp.

regards jess.

we have exact same setup except mine has a standard cam and no porting amazing how good they feel after being set up well :D answers the question of is it worth a cam swap in mine for the cost its not worth it to gain 8hp

Nice one

maybe "andi" has a problem with his engine after all @ 98bhp ?
