Hi hoodys

I'm going to start the strip down this weekend (around the F1)

where's the best place to start what shall I get off first

More to the point to what parts will I need off the doner for a zero

build.

The doner is a glx dohc 2.0 with all round disc brakes

All advice is good

hi kev, keep the steering column with a length of loom past the plugs to connect to.the master cylinder.drop the whole back end i.e diff, drive shafts, brakes.front hubs with discs, calipers etc.engine and box, engine loom.generaly if in doubt, keep it.depends how much new stuff you plan to buy, like ball joints, brake pads, track rod ends etc.

What engine are you using if you plan to use the 2.0 EFI don't forget the ECU, engine harness and the rear brake limiting valve (ball bearing in a can). ;)

Keep safe fuel tank first not with an angle grinder.

cut the front out with the grinder easer to lift engine out

and soke nuts and bolts with WD day before label the loom while stuff still works and conectors a to a etc

the only things I had left were the bare shell (no trim) and window glass, stored every thing else, still got some bits left over after 6 years (might come in handy one day)
