Fitting Speedo Magnets...

Hi all,

 

I'm looking at where and how to fit the 2 off magnets for the speedo pick-up

sensor.

I'm fitting a Digi Dash DD2 lite and the magnets are 8mm dia by 3mm thick.

 

I know they have to be 180 degrees opposed to each other and a 1mm gap to the

sensor, but my question is how to fit them confidently and securely?

 

I've thought about "spot facing" two counter bores into the prop flange about

2mm deep where it bolts to the diff to provide a location (any body have reason

to disagree please?) but not sure what could be the best way to attach them?

I used araldite to fix the magnet to the inner lobro joint, and they are still on even after all the abuse the car gets

I am going to fit mine on one of the diff output flanges, then if I ever need to get to them or the sensor it is an easy job.

Counter bore and araldite.

Just cleaned off the surface to give a good key --input to diff flange --- and araldited them in place.

my magnet is in the prop bolt drilled the head slightly to recess it to help it not fly out then bonded it been there a while now no probs have a look if you want
