Even after doing all the above with donor and the DVLA. I still got a fine from the DVLA for non tax /sorn on the donor.

 

Got a nice letter of apology back eventually

cheers for the info, I thought I would try and sell the shell with out a log book for parts rather than a re build, just trying to get more back that taking to a scrap yard

How much has the scrappy offered you for the shell peter? Im in similar boat-gonna scrap shell or cut it up to try and get some ££ back from it.

sorry Yanto, I dont know, but on ebay it's got 14 watchers but only 1 bid @ £1 so far

Doors, windscreens, interior trim, loads of switches and other stuff we don't need can be sold then weigh in the shell for scrap

I took off all indentification plates and numbers, cut the shell up and weighed it in and got £85. Have kept it on SORN so should be ok for an age related plate. I did take pictures to of the donor throughout the process, even cut up, to prove it was the donor vehicle.
