so it is running now? I presume you've checked the timing again? It's very easy to slip a tooth on the dizzy when taking the belt even partially off.

yep it's a runner

and i think the ignition timing was out but a twist or two of the dizzy got it going.

 

annoyingly my strobe light has packed up so im going ot have to fork out for another one of them to get it spot on.

 

its starting to sound like an expensive month

the timing can be a long way out and it'll still run, pennies on a new timing light first before worrying about anything else.

If you still want a reduction gear starter i have one thats only been used a hand full of times it cost me £180 last may, you can have it for £100.
