Hi guys

Tell me to shut up if I'm being stupid but has anyone fitted powersteering to there build. Was looking at the steering rack today ands the thought passed my mind.

I know it wouldNt be needed for weight cause let's face it a zero is a lot lighter than a serria.

Just a thought

I think the only sensible way to do it would be with some thing like the Corsa electric set up ,I had thoughts about this myself ,set up may be a prob i.e. how much assistance and can it be adjusted ,I don't think you would need all that is available ,another down side is that the steering is very heavy when the engine is not running but it could be an interesting prpject mower man :good:

Don't think there would be much room for a power steering pump

Haulie

There is a power steering pump already fitted to the side of the T series Rover engine in my Super Spec. It just pumps fluid into a header tank.

Ive used a Sierra power steering rack in my 2B, but its not powered. I fitted it to get a higher ratio....its a bit heavy with Toyo 888s when parking, but OK with standard Michelins. Any speed over 5 mph you wouldnt notice anything except its very direct.
