Making My Pinto Pretty

Does anybody know where i can get hold of some nice shiny spanglychrome plated bits for my pinto, i'm thinking of rocker and cambelt covers.

Oh God I really hate to do this but there is a certain company that gets more than it's fair share of mentions on here

 

In the current issue Boys in Hoods there is an article about this company which mentions that they also supply 'brightwork components' - including rocker covers.

 

(I can't make too much of a fuss as this company currently has my car in their workshops )

get yourself a rocker and cam cover from the scrappies do the polishing yourself

and then get someone to plate it .This is the way we went ( rocker cover)

Roughly how much does it cost to get them chrome plated assuming i can find somebody fairly local who can do it????

there are a couple of chrome cam belt covers on e-bay at the moment, just search for "pinto"

 

Chroming is bloody expensive, it cost me £50 for the rocker cover & cam belt cover to be chromed.

I suppose this advise is so that a certain firm don’t get sidetracked away from your machine

the place in nottinghsm where we had ours done was £30 for the rocker cover and a metal disk for covering the spare wheel.

not too bothered as all that needs to be done is for the hood to be stitched

together and that should be the lot.
