I can give you the name of a joiner...... might have to remortgage the house tho!!!

If you covering in vinyl after, just buy some sheets of mdf.. cheap to mess up.

If working MDF (granny/egg/sucking and all that) please use a mask over nose and mouth at least; the particles, especially when sanding are VERY nasty to one's health!!

Errr can we have health and safety advice before I snort 100% pure mdf dust please..... Iwas wearing safety boots when I cut my sheets up.

No probs!

I'll poke my nose in and risk either telling someone something they already know, or hopefully draw their attention to something sinister.

Old fashioned saw dust didn't do you a lot of good, but MDF is NASTY!

Drop a sheet on your foot; OUCH!, you might even lose a toe.

Prolonged inhalation of the evil cocktail in MDF particles and you could wish you didn't in later life!

And I certainly ain't a H&S nut; heaven forbid!!!

I honestly didnt know about mdf dust, saying that i got a b0llocking for sanding fibre glass without a mask as well :sorry: :sorry: :sorry: :sorry:

also got a b0llocking for welding using a duff welding mask :sorry: :sorry: to be fair Dan (notimpressed) is under the impression im dangerous.

To keep weight down, don't stiffen the dash with wood, just brace it against the central chassis tubes with a small metal bracket. My fibreglass dash doesn't even have that, but I only have the 1 Evodash module which is probably lighter than a full ETB set.

Dangerous more like a death wish!

I'm not a gambling man but the best odds are laid in me being evicted from this planet via this bloody heart disease that likes my company because it keeps coming back to annoy me, if I live dangerously it will keep the old grim reaper on his toes.
