Boxers

As a sort of follow up to Stewarts excellent quizzes, I wondered how many car manufacturers built and used flat, (boxer) engines in production vehicles. Without googling I came up with three that made 2 cylinder ones, five that made 4 cylinder and three that made 6 or more cylinders. I expect there are more so put your thinking caps on.

Commer TS3 had a 3 cylinder, two stroke, supercharged diesel. The Rootes RO34 blowers became popular with rodders for supercharging V6 and V8 petrol engines. About 25 years ago me and a mate used an RO34 on a Essex V6 engine, it made a stonking motor, 2 bar boost and had a brilliant whine from the 2" Fenner belt that drove it. The main disadvantage was how high it made the engine once you'e got a 4 barrel Holley carb and air filter on top if it - made forward vision somewhat limited.
