How To Display Photos Without Attaching As Thumbs?

As per the title, every time I try to paste a photo or video into this, all I get is this....

I can attached thumbs no problem, but not full sizes photos like you guys do (and also have in your signature boxes)

yes...workshop floor was a disgrace.....no excuses.....however it is all spotless now! Also do you like the exhaust "blast" mark on the fridge door (in the background). The misses was dead impressed....honest!

 

CMA, I understand thumbs, however this don't work with videos or does it?

 

Also, how did you get the photo of the car in your signature? cos thats not a thumb?

Almost as good as me sliding the kids electric go-cart into the works fridge,door was proper poorly.
