...or for those of us who never had motorbkies with Amal carbs ;) how can I get the floatbowl full without turning the whole engine (Pinto) just to operate the fuel pump? I am sure this is all that is needed because when it does eventually fire it does so immediately. Is there some means of priming the carbs, electric fuel pump? rubber bulb squirty thing?

Thanks

The mechanical fuel pump should act as a non-return valve, & keep the fuel line primed. Try another one if you can. I had just this problem.

Cheers, Bob.

Your right Jim “memories” tickle, fuel drips on to magneto, kick her over, fails to start suddenly flames licking around legs (fuel got into magneto) beat it out and try again. Ho the joys of owning a Goldie. :D
