Sierra Front Wheel Bearings

hi all

 

currently gathering parts so i can convert my 2b to wishbones.

i've got all the wishbones, bushes, brackets, shocks and stub axles.

trying to find some wheel bearings that are suitable for my stub axles but the ones i ordered off ebay are the wrong ones. dont really want to make the same mistake again so thought i'd stick a post up

 

i've measued using vernier the various diameters - see pictures below

 

 

 

 

 

can anyone point me in the direction of which kit i need?

just thought i'd add:

 

i got these supplied with no bearings, so i cant measure the old ones

 

i'll need a left and right hand set

try ford, if they are standard ford units they should be able to suply them

post up a link to the ones you bought so we can see what you've bought. I can only imagine they were the 4x4 variant, as the rest will all be the same.

they are indeed standard ford units, good idea trying ford although i fear they may be expensive, they have suprised me in the past though.

i'll see what ebay and likes turn up, if not ford it is.

when i bought the stub axles i think the bloke said they were off a 1.6

 

i always thought the bearings were all the same for RWD sierras, only the 4X4 and cossie ones were different? so maybe its the listing that's wrong

why not go to a local motor factors? You should be able to see if they are the right size in store.

there is a code number on the bearing that describes its physical dimensions, outer race diameter, inner race diameter, thickness, roller or ball race, should be able to be referenced by any bearing supplier.
