Quick Release Steering Wheel

Can anyone tell me if a quick release steering wheel is IVA compliant? It's something I wanted to do afterwards but things have gone a bit wayward with my current steering wheel and I'm looking at doing it now instead.

do you still use a sierra steering column on the mazda kit or is it a mazda one ? i think on the sierra based stuff nothing apart from a standard wheel will pass

Mine went through with a detachable steering wheel no problems...

Just need to make sure that any metal parts of the wheel are compliant i.e cover with some padding

Hmm, ok then. Problem I have then is that the wheel off the Mx5 wasn't the standard wheel anyway. Will leave it as is and ask GBS if they put it through with their own MX5 steering wheel like I've heard them do with the Sierra kits.

Think I still have the original Steering wheel from my MX5 donor if you want one?

Can always borrow my sierra wheel for IVA day ;-)

Think I'll have chat with GBS, see if they re-fit a Mazda for the IVA, probably go down the detachable route and cover everything up well.
