It will be etched on the crown wheel as per the pic.

If you can't find the numbers then count the teeth on the pinion and the crown wheel and divide one into the other.

If Lotus likely to be 3.95 or potentially and very very rare a 4.44 IIRC

I once ran a 5.3 in my MK1 twink and it was mental off the line but flat out at around 80!! Nice on the twisties and tight forests but no good at all any where else.

Escort diff and cortina diff were in different axles

Although I think the baby atlas was escort width

There is a lot of checking to do if you want to sell with lotus credentials otherwise its an escort live axel diff

The "English" axle had the same diff arrangement in both the MK1 & MK2 escort and the MK1 & MK2 Cortina through the whole range.

Ford lost the plot when they went European and started building the crown wheel and pinion into the axle casing,.MK3 and above Cortina's used this as did the Capri range, instead of having the nice simple bolt in diff.

If you are unable to decipher the ratio from the numbers then count the teeth on the pinion and the crown wheel and divide one into the other. He presto one ratio.
