Tractor called it correctly, valve stem seal loose. head rebuilt thanks to rob and terry, still lots to do it tomorrow

 

Shame we couldn't quite finish the build in 1 day....at least we got the head rebuilt, valves re-seated and new seals all around. And a nice "CLEAN" and shiny block/ head....I will be inspecting it for leaks and chips on the next meet... :rofl:

Sorry couldn't make it today, was up at 5:30 for babysitting duties, then decorating for the last 2 hours.

Just having a cuppa then find another job that needs doing. Glad I'm working tomorrow for a rest.

managed to get bottom end sorted out, crank and aux shaft seals, sump swapped over. Big & main bearings checked, all ok. Flywheel bolts were stretched so swapped for my spares along with flywheel. Gearbox and bottom end fitted.

 

Bus to work tomorrow, will pick up new head bolts etc on my way home, and attempt to finish mon/weds evening.
