Don't think so its just the built in cooling fan will be spinning the wrong way but 99% turn clockwise and it would be difficult to reverse except if you were running it of the back of the belt and in that case I dont think you would get it to work without the belt slipping.

I looked at that a while back thinking it would make the runs of drive belt shorter and more stable and possibly reduce vibration. The feasability study kept me busy for a few hours but I never got round to doing the metalwork. A suitable Nippondenso alternator mounted in the standard position worked fine has never given any problem.
