Putting the engine back in today after the sump and seal replacement i faced the the dreaded line up with the gearbox splines working alone this could have been awkward but it slid on 1st attempt :clapping: why can that not happen every time?

That must have been the easiest engine in out ive ever done 8)

lucky, when i did a clutch change had a real fight to get it mated, finally got it in all bolted up engine started 1st time took her for a spin up the road oops no brakes, when i had jacked up the gear box to mate things up I must have lifted it too far, I had crushed the flexi brake hose (from the master cylinder to the bias valve in the tunnel)

that was one of the first things I had put in when building even before fitting engine panels etc
