Wasn't the lightweight binned as there was no strength in the chassis (an IVA fail)? Or am I thinking of something else?

you are correct. The advert does mention that though so they aren't trying to get one over on some unsuspecting buyer. There are ways of getting it strengthened but from what i've read on here its a lot of work. Prob better to use it as a donor with a locost chassis etc.

If you study the advert there is a link to Graham Coles "DAD" on here's' web site.

Graham got 2 through SVA, and helped others with his enthusiasm and knowledge.

Sadly though eventually Grahams car ate its self, with the diff trying to climb out of the chassis when he tried to put 200+ bhp on the road.
