Hi I have fitted capri clocks to my hood but the sierra fuel sender doesn't work ,what other fuel sender does work apart from the mk11 escort that's not available anymore .

Is it, it did, but is now broken or you can't get them to read accurately together?

Doesn't read accurately together ,look on the forums and it states use a escort one but they are really rare .so was wondering if anyone has used a differant type with success .

Somebody will know for certain, with out a doubt.

 

The simplest trick if your sender is easily accessible is to shorten or lengthen the stroke of the float arm to suit.

It's a litle bit trial and error but do-able.

Already tried that , even if I lift the float to the very top of its travel it only reads 1/2 tank .

is that in the tank or the actual full travel of the unit itself?

The actual travel of the sender it's self ,I've got it out the tank .

CBS do a fuel gauge matcher. It's a little black box that you tweak to get the sender to match the dial. That will sort your problem.

Car builder solutions. They have a very good website and catalogue. Know their stuff too. I may end up getting on of those gadgets to sort my gauge out
