Back in the garaged today. Todo list includes

- Side repeaters

- Exhaust 'Brillo' killer

- Fit fuel vent

- Fill fuel tank - fingers crossed on that one!

- Have another go at the damned Fog light switch.

Might even take off the protective film from the s/s panels!

haha.

Flippin fire service interrupted play twice yesterday so some busy evenings this week.

Biggest 'risk' was filling fuel tank, but that went fine - so far!

Back home safe and sound. Not a pass, but the guys at Beverley are good. To do list is not massive ...

- clutch cable needs a bit more support to stop it glancing the steering column

- fix, bit of metal strapping

- self steering needs more work

- fix, humm, try more toe and reset suspension with wheels on ground .... May prove tricky this one.

- interior mirror, needs lifting on a block of wood

- fix, or buy a stalked one

- wing mirrors need to stop vibrating

- reinforcing the scuttle behind the mount

- worried about seat belt mount,

- fix, got to find the letter from Robin Hood to verify the seat belt mounting strength

- side repeater (currently mounted in the headlight) can not be seen from the rear (?)

- fix, remount on the rear wheel arch

- rear fog lamp on when side lights are on

- fix, try again to resolve or give in and buy carteck gizmo

- dummy McPherson struts could jump out

- fix, drill and bolt through hub and strut

Everything else was Tickety Boo, even the exhaust db passed with added fan belt screech!

All in all a good day ... Thanks to Ian J for coming out to play and Carol for letting him.

For self centering, try upping the tyre pressures, that used to be a temp fix for SVA.

Mine failed on mirrors vibrating, I fixed it by shaping some flat bar to curve of scuttle, bolted at bonnet edge, mirror bolt and araldite under "windscreen" area. Surprising how rigid it made the bonnet.

Otherwise, congrat's on a short list, and hope it all goes well next time.

The tester Ian as it happened could not have been more helpful.

With the exception of the self centring he offered a fix for every fail point.

Started at around 08.10 and was back on the trailer at 11.30 ish, common sense tester who applied lots of it today. :clapping:

Well done Mr Marr :clapping: :drinks:
