cant connect blackberry to wifi my blackberry generates a number that I have to put into my wifi how anybody know it may be a daft question but I am stupid

I was under the impression that you cannot put a number into a wifi unit, but the number of your wifi unit has to go into your phon,pad or computer itself.

this is a blackberry its all back to front the blackberry generates the number !!!! I did have it connected to the wifi before I got my Samsung but I have forgotten how to do it

Daughter uses B/berry. If she comes home sometime this week I will put her on it. Pm me with your e and I will ask my son to contact you if he knows. He's a techy in control workshops of a power station. He should know.

when the blackberry searches for a wifi connection it displays this provisioning wi fi profiles enter this pin into your wireless router 56743290

If its asking you to put a PIN into the router that sounds like WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) - this isn't required, its just another means of authenticating, there should be an option to connect traditionally? If not, the PIN is most likely to be entered on the admin page for your router, the address should be in the router. If not try 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.254 those are both commonly used

right this is how far I have got the blackberry is now accepting the wi fi I now just have to find how I put the password in thanks for the advice ali2992 I connected it manually

well I have managed to connect blackberry to email don't know how cos it still wont connect to wi fi

It should still connect without wifi, just be aware of data charges.

Do you have a data package included in your monthly plan??

eg 500 minutes 1000 texts and 1gb of data

Sorted then mate. The only upside to wifi in your case is its a bit faster.
