Car passed mot today.

No faults.

Bad news is I found it got very hot on the rollers and smoke test.

First thing that come to my mind, " is it yet another present from GBS"

I am wondering if they used the fan switch instead of temp sensor.

I know it normally runs steady temp and the gauge runs steady.

In the past since they fitted the gauges the temp rose to around 70' if stuck in traffic it instantaneousely jumped up to 90' This puts the sensor and fan switch might be the wrong way around.

Can't even start on it tomorrow as have to fix broken rear spring and brake discs on my Volvo, then go to my mates place and pick up a complete 2b rear sub frame assembly. He needs it gone.

Youve not had much luck with the GBS rebuild have you Ken?

Never truer.

A pass for me too yesterday, just an advisory for a cracked front number plate after my excursion into the scenery a few weeks back.

The place I use only check for visible smoke and do the brakes out on the road.

Popular time of year :) Mine just passed it's retest (failed first time on a worn steering column/rack U/J joint, easy fix) with just an advisory on a rear suspension bottom bush. Depressingly it only 'scraped' through the emmisions despite the fact it has a new cat fitted (the old one had totally disintegrated inside). But standard Superspec problem as far as I know. Poor exhaust design ?
