Demister

Just fitting a windscreen to a pretty built SuperSpec and ran into an issue. The windscreen is practically up to the edge of the scuttle with about 3/4 inch gap. What would the best solution for a demister be or just leave it out and take a rag with me

Normally have passenger so a quick shove of the rag in the face should give an idea

 

Why is windscreen so close? Mine isn't

Not a clue but its how it is as the roof will only just fit that length

You need a demist system to pass IVA.

It can be electrical heated screen or air blow.

It's already roadworthy. I could just take screen off for mot

If it's just for mot, rag and stick is ok.

Buy a 12 volt hand held heater, will save your passengers arm, melt frost & warm you if that cold.

 

We have a 150watt ?? heater for just such occasions (if the modified Sierra heater fails )

Maplins -- In car ceramic heater £9.99 -- no wattage shown but has a 15amp fuse so must be no greater than 180 watt. Still shown in their on-line cat.

Is it not bulky and get in the way too much

Having a look what is the key ring for. Seems like a bit of a weird key ring attachment haha

Maybe because of battery drain, have never noticed the case getting uncomfortably warm during use; but then ours suppliments the engine fed heater.
