Zetec Instead Of Pinto

I've got a RH with a Pinto engine. I'd like to update it for a 2.0 Zetec. However

1. The Zetec is never going to fit the Pinto engine mounts. Can I get engine mount adaptors.

2. The Pinto has twin 45 Webers which I'd like to fit to the Zetec. Is this possible. I know they'd need re-jetting.

3. How do I go about setting up the ignition system without the need to get involved with ECUs etc.

4. I presume the sump will need changing. Where can I get the design for a new one to be made up.

5. Anything else I need to know.

megajolt ecu and eddis

Danst engineering may supply manifold for webbers

Ian dunne engineering for the sump

other parts depend on wot model of RH you want to fit it to

An over looked point..you don't actually need a different sump..I have the standard one and it's fine..If you do swap it don't get a big winged one..zetec engines run less oil at a higher temperature. Otherwise the carbs may need more progression holes, or just sell what you have and buy new.

when I converted my 2b to zetec I kept the standard sump on it I just raised the engine and Algee has been driving his with standard sump for many years

Zetec engines require 5 progression hole webers if you haven't got them they will not work correctly. Loads written on the Web about progression holes and zetec.

Many thanks for all the help. Sorry about the status saying I've got a zero. Had a senior moment. It's a 2b. Must change the status.
