Quick question would i be right in thinking a common used radiator for a pinto in a early model kit would be out of a mk2 escort please

i think ive narrowed it down to that

im going to go down the new rad route first as last and aslo fit an expansion tank to it as well

many thanks

When I ran my s7 2.1 it had a cortina rad cooling was iffy so went to a double core special that my local rad co had on the shelf better but still close finally got a rs 2000 alloy rad off the bay combined with waterless coolant no probs , the coolant was not the expensive stuff from Evans but agricultural stuff John Deere 6 litres for 25 quid no problem mick

Got a rad off Ebay, advertised as a 2.3 Granada radiator. All pipes and positions the same but double the pipes of the original EXMO supplied one. Worked well until you were standing in traffic on a hot day, even then, when the fan kicked in, all was OK.

any rad that fits...........

its VERY important that you make sure the air that comes through the grille can only go through the rad core and not out through the wheel arches........

dont assume that just because the rad is up front the air will go through it and cool the engine......almost every cooling problem on a kit car is lousy air flow.....
