Hi bought a 2.0 pinto engine for my pinto to replace 1.6 , I've changed my mind and sold it on. I've been told that a duratec 2.0 would be good as I would have exhaust on correct side, am I right in saying that I would need a 2.0 Mazda gearbox, shorten the prop, and buy en ecu, i would run it on bike carbs, what about gearbox and engine mountings, if this is correct which ecu and any thing else you can think of, its going in a 2b. Much appreciated. Dave

If your running bike carbs Megajolt is an easy and cheaper option.

The Pinto/Robin Hood exhaust manifold is a close match you just need the manifold flanges cutting off and a Duratec one welded to it with pipes flared to fit the oval outlets in the head.

You can get a bellhousing to adapt to the Type 9 the Mazda box cants the engine over about 30 degrees
