Hello, the front right corner of my oil sump is leaking but only when the car is warm and up to temp.

i went under and a bolt seems to be missing but it goes through the block on the other end?!

Is this supposed to be like this?

 

Looks like somebody stripped the thread, you could try heli-coil nut & bolt

Sorry that should have said, heli-coil OR nut & bolt

You may have to put a drill through

I’ll go with the nut and bolt and when I change the sump (I guess won’t be long with the amount of potholes in Surrey roads 🙃) will fix it properly with heli-coil.
