hi there, I have tried searching for this on the forum as i am sure it has been done but has anyone repalced the sliding pillar suspension on the 2B? I have recently bought a new, heavy engine and need to upgrade this and am looking for some advice?

Thanks

Simon

There's reams of info on this subject on here as well as at least 3 or 4 people I can think of offhand who have done the mod.

Darren F is one, Bob Tucker, Tony Tank & doubtless many more...

The MNR Mod seems a reasonable price too...

Well my sliding pillar system broke, my dad fixed it last week and after a day of country roads.... i need him to bring his welder again!!

Has anyone else has this part sheer off through excesive force (well a couple of bumps??) I am sure RHE should be sorting all us poor buggers out with new double wishbones! Maybe when one of us dies crashing into a ditch due to the suspension colapsing.

Has anyone come up with a good and solid way of fixing this, that is if it is a common problem, i think lots of metal and weld is in order, untill i save for a conversion.
