Whats the problem with the roll bar diameter and if it is a problem can you go to SVA without it as you can with windscreen, wipers, demisters etc. I have a removable one on a series 3.

I believe that the roll bar has to be 2"Diameter.

The 2B chassis in 38mm and Robin Hood made the roll bar on that 2" (they dont do that unless they have to)

 

I also believe that the roll bar has to be fitted.

 

You might stand a chance as you say your got a mildly different test to conform to as the car was purchsed by me before the "new" sva regs came into force

"Purchase date between sep 1997 and sept 2003"

( I'm not sure this still applys though ? I thought there was a time limit/cut off point on that)

The dash is amazing. Wish i'd thought of doing something like that.
