I was wondering what overalls you guys/gals are using at barkston?

Does cotton overalls mean 100% cotton?

If so how much do they cost?

Race suits from demon tweeks start from £200! a bit pricy for the odd day!

Last year we used our old raf overalls, so any workones will be fine.

But make sure they are clean and not covered in oil.

I have some spare if anyone needs to borrow them! :D

Thanks, i have work ones but they are only 35% cotton the rest is polyester.

I just wondered if they checked the label!!!

If i am going to do a lot of trock days then a fire proof one may be a good idea, just in case.

I bought a full face flash one for £54.99 on monday, but they started at £39.

I went to my local bike dealers, they were very helpfull and didnt patronise me when i asked how do i know if it fits!

Aparently if you move it from side to side it must move your eyebrows!!!

I have the class 1 version of this, very good for the price. Not as nice as a Sparco or something but that will cost you at least twice as much.

They have "welders overalls" too. (If using a boiler suit from Arco or somewhere it has to be 100% cotton & yes they do check the labels!!) :)

Overalls- Must be 100% cotton, they do check the label! Mine cost £18 from a farmers shop (Scats).

Helmet- Careful here. I can't remember if they want a BS kite marked one for the track day. I know they do for the sprints, and it is a requirement for MSA sprints, and yes they do check. Most helmets sold for motorbike road use (especially cheap ones) are NOT BS kite marked. It is no longer a requirement for use on the road (a slightly less stringent EU spec is now the requirement), but it is generally for the track. I did manage to find a shop with some old stock and so got my BS helmet for £60 (it was in a sale as well :D ), but I had to try quite a few shops before I found it.

If you have a road bike helmet more than a couple of years old then the chances are it will be BS marked, and all helmets sold for track use will be.
