Speedo Cable Circlip & Bolt

Grizzly

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Does anyone have a spare circlip for the Speedo Cable (Type 9 gearbox)?

I'm thinking that these may be one of those things that Uncle Henry may like to charge a lot for.

I'm also after an M10 fine (I think) bolt (for the propshaft/backaxle).

Both of these items I could probably get from the scrappy of course but I'd have to dig under the scrap Sierra to get to them! :D

Don’t be tempted to use any bolt that will fit get the correct ones as they are tightened to 60 odd Nm which is tight for a fine thread M10

The Scrapy won't let me dig about under his cars. :boohoo:

He obviously cares for my safety. :o

I can get a circlip from my local Frord dealer but he'll only sell me bolts if I buy a bag of ten. :boohoo:

I'm Grizzly and I'm mean when it comes to things like this.

Steve

There’s an old diff with a bit of propshaft on, in the corner of my garage I will take the bolts out tomorrow.

pm me your address and I will get it to you (is it only one you want?)

Hi All,

Well I now have four bolts - Thanks Chris. I'll buy you a pint whenever we meet up.

So I'm now after just the speedo cable circlip.

Apparently Frord now longer stock this item :gdit:

Ok so it's just a circlip. I don't suppose anyone can tell me the dimensions of it so that I can try and get one from somewhere?
